The journey of individuals with curly and textured hair is often marked by the struggle to manage and maintain their unique hair type. Traditional hair care products and routines often fall short, leading to frustration and a lack of confidence in one’s appearance.

Problem

Detangling curly hair can be a painful and time-consuming process, leading to dissatisfaction with existing hair care solutions. The market lacks a wide range of products that specifically cater to the needs of textured hair, resulting in compromised hair health and self-esteem.

The opportunity lies in creating a groundbreaking product that simplifies detangling and styling routines for curly hair. Process

The research journey began with a deep dive into the needs, behaviors, and pain points of individuals with curly and textured hair. I conducted a survey and user interviews and to gain firsthand insights, while also analyzing existing hair care products and websites to identify gaps in the market. From that research, the following pain points were deduced: Difficulty detangling curly hair, limited options for curly hair care products, limited information and resources, and time-consuming routines.

Difficulty Detangling Curly Hair

People with curly and textured hair often struggle with detangling, which can be a painful and time-consuming process. Existing hair care products do not effectively address this challenge.

Limited Options for Curly Hair Care Products

There is a lack of suitable hair care products tailored to the unique needs of curly and textured hair. This leaves individuals with limited choices for effective solutions.
